Fragments I–II–III
These images result from an elaborate documentation of sculptural details in SongEun’s interior and exterior. Unlike typical architectural photography, they emphasize details and textures as if viewed through a microscope. The artist closely captures surfaces, corners, and spatial gaps, then transforms and reassembles these image fragments in various ways. Printed on stainless steel, the works present the texture and materiality of architectural elements in a new context.
Shinyoung Bahc
Shinyoung Bahc creates, collects, and reconstructs images. She focuses on archival methodologies that derive stories from various contexts. Since 2018, she has run Studio DOSI, a visual creative studio focused on photography, film, and art direction, while continuing to work across commercial and non-commercial boundaries.
