Tongue and Groove / Dado and Rabbet
Tongue and Groove and Dado and Rabbet are a bookend and book holder inspired by the formative elements of SongEun’s architecture. Two forms combine into a symbolic whole, using two types of wood joints found in furniture and architecture. Following the intention of Herzog & de Meuron, the design interprets a comfortable and beautiful object that satisfies function, perception, and expression.
On Kim
On Kim is an industrial designer whose work focuses on various materials and the forms that follow them. He runs the independent practice Studio Burr and teaches industrial design as an adjunct professor at Hongik University.
