What a Circle of Life

“I curate works of art. I store items in boxes. It is the act of constructing the world through meaningful selection and arrangement.” Containers are not fixed spaces but objects that reveal infinite diversity according to situation and purpose. If SongEun Art Center provides an “artistic environment” in which works can be displayed, containers preserve “possession and memory” by framing various objects. Like a vertical building offering a different experience on every floor, containers of various sizes can be arranged vertically to become sculptural expressions in themselves. Inspired by the pine tree as a natural object—its overlapping needles, movement, and changing colors—I wanted to turn the pine tree in my memory into a small box and place it in your space.
