In the Woods
The wood-grain patterns on the walls of SongEun Art Space transform the building’s appearance with shifting light and weather. Inspired by these architectural textures, In the Woods is a trinket box that translates the effect into etched graphic patterns. The design evokes pine needles and dense pine forests, revealing different impressions from various angles. Within this hidden pine forest, it offers a place to keep cherished belongings.

Iann Nam fuses the logic of product design with the sensory depth of craft, bridging tradition and contemporary form. She explores the material intelligence of metal, using texture, reflection, and density as a sculptural language to shape structures where function and aesthetics meet. Her practice expands into spatial and matrix-based sculptural forms, transforming physical materials into emotional environments.
