The Ticino

“The Ticino” is a piece of tableware inspired by the shape of Switzerland’s Ticino wine-producing region and its wine culture. Integrating a bowl and plate into a single object allows different foods to be kept separate or provides a place for the pits and shells left behind when eating olives or nuts with wine, keeping the experience tidy and enjoyable. Naming the plate after Ticino and shaping it after the region gives the design a distinctive character and a meaningful connection to its Swiss cultural inspiration.
