De Re

Although simple in form, De Re has an identity distinct from conventional tableware through its differentiated proportions. In contrast to its angular square silhouette, the circular recess is a defining feature. It is made from buncheong clay and pure white slip using the bunjang technique. The concave area that holds food is glazed, while the exterior is finished matte, creating a tactile contrast and allowing light to reflect only from the glazed surface.
