Modern Specimen: Four Seasons of a Pine Tree
This postcard graphically represents the pine tree through pine cones, needles, pollen, seeds, and male and female flowers. The Korean word 葉書 combines “leaf” and “message” and can be interpreted as “a message written on a leaf.” Focusing on the meaning of 松隱, hidden elements are expressed metaphorically through graphics and text. The set consists of two printed sheets and one envelope. The postcard measures 103 × 215 mm and the envelope 106 × 218 mm. Inseper Rough and Cushion papers were offset printed with Pantone Silver C ink.
