Chapelle draws inspiration from SongEun’s subterranean spaces, where natural light softly illuminates the dark underground and creates a serene, sacred atmosphere. The lamp emphasizes contrasts: innovative 3D-printing technology with timeless ceramic craft, minimalist form with the raw texture of clay, and light piercing the darkness within. Above all, the interplay of light and shadow deepens its reverent and tranquil presence, inviting moments of quiet reflection.
Jisan Chung
Jisan Chung is a Seoul-based industrial designer with an engineering background and extensive experience at a Korean furniture company and European design studios. He creates products that blend poetic narratives with functionality, offering emotional experiences and fostering connections through warmth and humanity. He refined his global perspective during his master’s studies at ECAL in Switzerland and has presented his design philosophy through international exhibitions.
